Why owners pick PlacePilot over Wix
Finished in 3 minutes, not three weekends
Wix starts you from a prompt or a template and leaves the rest to the editor. PlacePilot builds the whole site from your Google listing, old site and photos while you watch.
Change it by writing, not dragging
Tell Pilot you now close at 9 on Sundays and the hours change on every page. Nothing goes live until you publish.
Search work done for you
Wix gives sound technical defaults, but the words that rank are yours to write. PlacePilot checks how you rank against nearby businesses every week and gets the fixes ready to publish.
Socials from the same place
The Group plan also turns your own photos into posts and short videos in your brand, sent only once you approve each one.

Questions
Is PlacePilot better than Wix for a small business?
For an owner without time to build, yes. PlacePilot makes the site from your Google listing, keeps your search checked every week and takes changes by chat. Wix is the better pick if you enjoy designing every page yourself.
Is Wix free?
Wix has a free plan with hosting and the editor, but it doesn't let you use your own domain or take payments. Paid plans start at $17 a month billed yearly in the US, and Wix says prices vary by location.
Can Wix take bookings for tours and rentals?
Yes, from the Core plan: Wix Bookings handles services and classes, and Wix pitches its sites for promoting local tours and equipment rentals. PlacePilot links the booking tool you already use, such as FareHarbor or Bókun, instead of adding another one.
Do I have to build a Wix site myself?
Mostly, yes. You start from a prompt or a template and refine it in the editor, or you hire a Wix-certified designer. PlacePilot makes the first version from your Google listing in about three minutes.
Which is better for small business SEO?
PlacePilot, unless you want to write it yourself. Wix gives every site sound technical defaults, but the words and pages are yours. PlacePilot checks how you rank against nearby competitors and puts what customers search for on your pages: departure times, prices, the deposit, the meeting point.
