Website grader
A free check for small business owners that scores your website, Google listing and reviews out of 100 and shows how nearby businesses compare. It takes about three minutes. Free with an account, no card.
Type your business name.

How do I know if my business website is good?
It depends on what customers need from it. For a local business, a good site opens, is secure and works on a phone, says your hours, prices and how to reach you, and matches your Google listing. A grade can only count what it checks, so it doesn't judge your photos or your writing. Type your business name above to get a score for each area, with your Google listing, your reviews and your nearest competitors' sites checked the same way.
To check your Google listing on its own, run the Google Business Profile optimization check, and to give Google your hours and prices as code, use the local business schema generator. Google measures a page's speed with its Core Web Vitals, and our guide to ranking higher on Google Maps covers the listing side.

Where you stand nearby.
The report finds your nearest competitors. Their sites get the same website checks as yours, and you see each one's Google rating and review count beside your own.
It also lists searches customers make, with where your site comes up in Google's top 10 for each.

How the grade works.
Each check passes or fails. An area's score is the share of its checks you pass, out of 100.
Your grade is the average of the areas that apply to you. A check that doesn't fit your kind of business, like a menu for a plumber, is left out.
- PoorUnder 50
- Fair50 to 74
- Good75 or more
Questions about the website grader.
Is the website grader free?
Yes. The grade and the full report are free with a PlacePilot account. No card needed. A first version of a new website is free too. Publishing it needs a plan.
What does it check?
Your website, your Google listing, your reviews and where you come up on Google. Each check passes or fails, and the grade is counted from them. Your nearest competitors' sites get the same website checks.

About three minutes from picking your business to your report.

Can you get me to the top of Google?
Nobody can promise a ranking. The report shows where you come up today and which checks need work.
Does it ask ChatGPT about my business?
