How do I add local business schema to my website?

Fill in the form above and copy the code. Where it goes depends on how your site is made. In a website builder, look for the setting that adds custom code to a page, and add it to your home page or the page about your business. On a site you edit by hand, paste it into that page's HTML, in the head or the body. Then run Google's Rich Results Test on the page's address to check that Google reads it.

Schema markup is one of the files AI tools read; the llms.txt generator makes another, and the website grader checks the rest of your site. Read what schema markup is, and what GEO vs SEO changes when an AI answers the search.

Questions about local business schema.

Is the local business schema generator free?

Yes. You don't need an account, and you can make as many as you like.

Is what I type sent anywhere?

No. The code is made in your browser as you type. Nothing is sent to us or saved, so copy the code before you close the page.

My website builder only takes the JSON. What now?

Untick "Include the script tag" before you copy. The code then starts at its first curly bracket, with no script tag around it.

Will it get me a rich result or review stars?

Nobody can promise that. Google decides what to show, and correct markup only makes a page eligible. Google doesn't show review stars from markup a business writes about itself, so the code has no rating.

Which business types does it cover?

Restaurants, cafés, tours, rentals, transfers and stays. Each gets its schema.org type, like Restaurant, CafeOrCoffeeShop, TravelAgency or LodgingBusiness, with its menu, tours or rooms.

When should I update it?

Whenever your hours, prices, phone or address change. Google asks that the markup matches what your page says, so paste the new code over the old.

Want the whole website too?

Type your business name. In about three minutes the scan builds your website from your Google listing. Free, no card.
