Hocoos AI website builder has closed: what it cost and where to move your site

Hocoos, the AI website builder that made a small business site from a short questionnaire, is no longer operating. Owners could download a static copy of their site until 23 April 2026; after that Hocoos deleted the sites, accounts and data it held, so a business whose website was on Hocoos needs a new one.

Key takeaways

  • Hocoos's own pricing page now says the service is no longer operating and that sites were deleted after 23 April 2026.
  • Before it closed, Hocoos had a free plan and a Premium plan at $15 a month, with a discount for paying yearly.
  • A downloaded copy keeps the pages, words and pictures, but its contact, booking and checkout forms no longer work.
  • A domain bought through Hocoos had to be moved to the owner's own account at name.com; a domain bought elsewhere stays with its registrar.

What did Hocoos cost?

On its pricing page in May 2025, Hocoos had two plans. Free cost $0 and included hosting, a limited booking system and a blog without AI blogging. Premium cost $15 a month billed monthly, or 23% less on the yearly plan, and added a free custom domain name, online payments, email campaigns and removal of the Hocoos branding. Hocoos also offered a 14-day money-back guarantee. None of these plans can be bought any more.2

Can you still download a Hocoos website?

No. Exports could be requested until 23 April 2026, and each download link worked for 7 days. If you saved the files, you have an HTML copy of the site, spreadsheets of products, orders, mailing lists and booking clients, and the images and videos. If you didn't, the copy is gone, and the fastest way back is to rebuild from the hours, photos and reviews already on your Google Business Profile.1

What happened to a domain bought through Hocoos?

Hocoos told owners who bought a domain through it to transfer the domain to their own name.com account to keep managing it. A domain bought from another registrar stays with that registrar. Either way, the site it pointed to is gone, so log in to your registrar and connect the domain to a new host before customers find a dead page.1

Is the downloaded copy enough for a restaurant or tour company?

Usually not on its own. Hocoos says the contact, subscribe, booking and checkout forms in the copy no longer work, because they ran on its servers. A restaurant that took table requests or a tour company that took bookings through Hocoos needs a working booking tool before the site goes back up, and every edit to a static copy means editing HTML.1

Where should a former Hocoos user go now?

Pick by what you used Hocoos for: a site built for you from a few answers. Our comparison of AI website builders covers that kind of tool, and our Wix pricing and Squarespace pricing guides cover the drag-and-drop builders. PlacePilot builds the site from your Google listing instead of a questionnaire; building is free and publishing needs a plan. Once the new site is live, run the free website grader on it.2

No. Hocoos's own website says the service is no longer operating, and all sites, accounts and data stored on its servers were deleted after 23 April 2026.

Can I still download my Hocoos website?

Will my old Hocoos booking form still work?

No. Hocoos says forms for contact, booking and checkout stop working in the downloaded copy, so you need another booking or payment tool.
